Trainee & Apprenticeship Programs
Our SolutionsIn It for the Long Term
Taking on trainees and/or apprentices is a great investment for a business. When it comes to growing talent, there’s no better place than working with apprentices and trainees. We’re strategic when it comes to skills gaps and recommend to start planning for the future today. Give the next generation in your industry the opportunity to become qualified, learn the ins and outs of the trade, hone skills and then stay on as a valuable member of the team.
Delivering Motivated Career-building Apprentices
If you need more qualified tradespeople to join the ranks, we’ll find motivated applicants who are passionate about building a career with you. Apprenticeships are attractive and cost effective. Most can be subsidised by the government leaving you with a qualified tradesperson ready and eager to grow with the business.
Our Tecside talent team look for enthusiasm and balance. We find apprentices who are able to follow instructions as well as take initiative with a safety-first attitude. We’ll take the finding, screening and interviewing of potential apprentices and trainees off your hands and find the right match for your company, culture and team. Our services also cover all pre-employment checks. So when they get to you they are ready to learn and train on the job.
Bringing Diversity and Inclusion Through Apprenticeship Programs
Employing an apprentice or trainee is an effective way to help meet demand, increase production and take care of those future skill gaps early. In addition, apprenticeship programs can bring diversity and inclusion (D&I) in the workplace. We’ll partner with you to devise and execute strategies relevant to your D&I targets. We don’t offer a one-size-fits-all approach. When we work on D&I apprenticeship and trainee recruitment for our clients, it’s about devising a personalised approach and path to delivery.
Supporting Inclusive Work Practices in Australia
In Australia, Tecside is committed and dedicated to the empowerment and employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander apprentices and trainees. We work to make trainee and apprentice placement beneficial for all. After initial consultations to blueprint the requirements of your workforce apprenticeship programs, we then focus on allowing for both parties to ensure the culture and right fit are present. Both parties are provided an opportunity to make an informed decision prior to long term investment commitment. Our commitment to a developing Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is allowing us to successfully execute social and cultural inclusion programs that are flexible and tailored to ultimately create employment opportunities.
It’s Never Too Early to Recruit
Internship programs are a great way to find talent before your competitors do. Tecside coordinates a yearly internship program. It’s designed for clients who’ll provide paid work experience to recent graduates or those close to graduating. Each year between 70 – 90 new internships are offered to commence over the summer vacation period, with approximately 50% of placements converting to long term career opportunities.
